“Together Let’s Stop Traffick” provides an unique opportunity to actively shape and help build a desperately-needed Global Resource Centre to combat human trafficking and reduce, and ultimately eradicate, this insidious organized crime

In November 2013, the inaugural “Together Let’s Stop Traffick” Summit in Ottawa, Canada brought together motivated delegates and speakers from all over the world with a shared mission – to work together to create the model framework for a shared knowledge and Global Resource Centre to help bring about an end to human trafficking (HT) through the free sharing of intelligence and international best practice.

After the Summit, five volunteer working groups were formed, comprised of Summit delegates, and tasked with developing action plans and resource requirements for the Resource Centre’s five operational cornerstones. Those  include: Research; Funding; Communications; Management Information; and Structure, Process and Operations.

All five working groups will present their proposed action plans following the official opening of the 2014 Summit.  Attendees will then break into their chosen working group/s to begin tackling the gaps and challenges identified to ensure that the Centre will meet the varying needs and expectations of those on the front line in the fight against human trafficking.

Through the Summit’s established collaborative working practices, open sharing of ideas, experiences and best practice, we will collectively identify and deliver thestrategy and critical next steps for Phase III of the Resource Centre’s development – practical implementation.
